"It seems as though Tayo is starting to complete his journey of recovery even though there are still issues, especially culturally, that need to be figured out. Being of a mixed breed, he has always been labeled as an outsider, but now he is beginning to find contentment with the person he is." — Mar 18, 2012 11:27PM

"I find it interesting that with new clothes and and improved speaking abilities, Eliza was able to jump from lower class to high society over a series of weeks. This clearly displays the shallow perception people may have had during that specific time period, showing how often individuals were judged based on their appearance rather than their personality." — Feb 12, 2012 11:09PM

"I found this story interesting because there were some unexpected events that caught Okonkwo off guard, resulting with the fall of his character. Overall, I didn't expect for him to commit suicide, but after replaying the incident in my mind, I can see its connection with the title "Things fall apart." I also think that there was a parallel between how Okonkwo's life fell apart, and how tribal "lifestyle" fell too." — Jan 22, 2012 10:03PM
