Tony’s Notes & Highlights

Book cover for The Sword of Shannara Trilogy (Shannara, #1-3)

The Sword of Shannara Trilogy (Shannara, #1-3) by Terry Brooks

1 note & 1 highlight

I know the history, too, Brin. It’s always the same. He appears unexpectedly, warning of a danger that threatens the races, which only a member of the Ohmsford family can help put an end to.

he even admits it's formulaic!! ugh

Eric Franklin

I loved these books as a young teenager, before I thought about things like how similar it may or may not be to its predecessors. At least here the author acknowledges the trope he's leaning on.
