First of all, Ramona is an awful friend. For someone who’s supposed to be G I really wanted to love this one because Logan has so much potential and the tension between him and Grace is undeniably hot but overall, this just didn’t hit the way I hoped.

First of all, Ramona is an awful friend. For someone who’s supposed to be Grace’s longest and closest friend, her behavior was just not it. Zero support, zero loyalty, all vibes and no substance. And don’t even get me started on Logan’s brother. Jeff was unbelievably selfish. The fact that he expected Logan to give up his dreams, his potential, and his entire future so Jeff could escape his own dead-end life was wild. Absolutely not. That whole situation made me angry for Logan more than anything else.

Speaking of Logan, I loved him. Truly. He was the best part of this book. His reasoning for not wanting to hook up with Grace at first was actually really mature and well thought out, and I respected him for it. Grace’s reaction, on the other hand, felt immature and over-the-top. It kind of proved that she wasn’t emotionally ready, and instead of communicating, she just spiraled. That dynamic was frustrating to read.

I also struggled with Logan’s blind loyalty to his trash father. I understand complicated family dynamics, but the way he felt obligated to destroy himself for a man who consistently failed him was hard to watch. The scene with Logan crying to Grace’s dad? Broke my heart. And thank god Coach finally stepped in and said what everyone else was thinking, because that situation was unfair, unhealthy, and completely unnecessary.

Another big issue for me is that Grace felt pretty underdeveloped. Compared to Logan, she just didn’t have the same depth, and I never fully connected with her. Their relationship had chemistry, but it lacked emotional payoff. I really wish we had more time with them together after everything was resolved instead of just that quick epilogue. It felt rushed and unsatisfying.

Overall, the tension was great, Logan deserved the world, and there were definitely cute moments… but the side characters, family drama, and uneven character development really dragged this one down for me. Cute story, yes. Memorable? Not really. ...more "
