Mar 21, 2026 02:20PM

"A to sme tak pozerali diel Životov slávnych o Alexandrovi Solženicynovi a ja som hneď kupovala túto knihu. Získal za ňu Nobelovu cenu. Úryvok znel brutálne - aj tým strohým a výstižným štýlom písania. Zatiaľ sa mi číta nejako kostrbato - žeby to bolo tou kvapku pristarou češtinou, ktorá mi akosi nesedí...?" Nov 23, 2025 04:45PM

(Aspoň keby k tomu pridal to: "dobrý deň"...). 🤷🏻‍♀️😂" Jul 12, 2025 04:44PM

Diane Setterfield
“Every so often I take out a volume and read a page or two. After all, reading is looking after in a manner of speaking. Though they're not old enough to be valuable for their age alone, nor important enough to be sought after by collectors, my charges are dear to me, even if, as often as not, they are as dull on the inside as on the outside. No matter how banal the contents, there is always something that touches me. For someone now dead once thought these words significant enough to write them down.”
Diane Setterfield, The Thirteenth Tale

John Connolly
“He would talk to them of stories and books, and explain to them how stories wanted to be told and books wanted to be read, and how everything that they ever needed to know about life and the land of which he wrote, or about any land or realm that they could imagine, was contained in books. And some of the children understood, and some did not.”
John Connolly, The Book of Lost Things

John Green
“That didn’t happen, of course. Things never happened the way I imagined them.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

John Connolly
“Stories wanted to be read, David's mother would whisper. They needed it. It was the reason they forced themselves from their world into ours. They wanted us to give them life.”
John Connolly, The Book of Lost Things

Neil Gaiman
“He wondered how it could have taken him so long to realize he cared for her, and he told her so, and she called him an idiot, and he declared that it was the finest thing that ever a man had been called.”
Neil Gaiman, Stardust
