“As Christians, we can have peace even in the face of all the tragedy happening around us. Jesus made a promise to His disciples and to us as well. He was going back to the Father, but He was giving us a priceless gift. He gave us His peace. The world can never give us the peace that Jesus gives. It’s a peace that we, the recipients, can’t even understand. It’s too wonderful for our minds to grasp, but we know it comes from Him. Whatever is happening in your world, Christ can give you peace. None of the problems you’re facing are too big for Him, whether it’s trouble in the city where you live or pain in your own home. He is saying to you, “don’t let your heart be troubled about these things, and don’t be afraid.”
