Wasdin and Stephen Templin is about man who went through an extremely rough childhood. Also, he used his experiences of having a rough childhood to push him through his training of becoming a SEAL. The main character of this book is Dr. Howard E. Wadsin. The setting of this book takes place in several different areas. It took place in Somalia, Georgia, Middle East, and several different types of Boot Camps, I found this book through my school library and I’m excited I did because I loved this book.
In the beginning of this book it starts of with Wadsin being abused by his mom's boyfriend who eventually becomes his step-dad. After turning eighteen he joined the navy and become a Search and Rescue swimmer. From there he wanted to become a SEAL. After that he had to go through several different boot camps. Once he completed his boot camps he became a SEAL team member. After becoming a SEAL team member he became a sniper.
Wadsin becomes a sniper and is able to become one of the snipers for his SEAL Team. Before Wadsin became a member in SEAL Team Six he had to go through being a SEAL Team member on SEAL Team 2, BUD/S Training, and several boot camps. While being a part of SEAL Team 2 he did many mission in the Middle East helping in Operation Desert Storm. While doing these missions he saved a whole squad of starving and injured enemy soldiers. During him explaining this part of the mission he basically says that no matter the person you should always help someone when you can, and for this reason that my favorite part of the book because he was able to show mercy to their enemy. Showing mercy to your enemy takes a lot of will and I see that as a strength not a weakness.
This book is very good. The reason why is because he shows the journey a man takes to become one of the most elite soldiers of our military and all the struggles he goes through to get there. And through all his struggles he never gave up. Someone who likes to read stories about people pushing through adversity and struggles to come out on top will love this book. Also, anyone who likes to read books about the military will love this book as well because he goes into depth about what it takes to become a navy SEAL. ...more "

The setting of this book is Ray Bradbury’s vision of the 20th century. His vision of the 20th century was that no one was able to read books by law, and that there would be firemen. But these firemen don’t put out fires they start them, so that they can burn the books. In my opinion there are three main characters in this book. The first character and in my opinion the most important character is Guy Montag. The second leading character is Clarisse because she starts to open up Montag's’ eyes to see how wrong the society is. The third leading character is Mildred Montag who is the wife of Guy Montag.
The plot of Fahrenheit 451 is basically a man who sees the wrong in society, and who wants to change it. In more detail what I mean is that Clarisse is able to open up Guy Montag’s eyes to the injustices that are happening the society. Clarisse is able to make Guy rethink his whole job. As i have stated early the main conflict is Guy Montag and the society he lives in. But there is one conflict i would like to point out that is very good to know is that Captain Beatty and Montag get into it once Captain Beatty finds out what Montag is doing. I’m not going to tell you what Montag does you will just have to read the book.
I thought the end was very exciting and fun to read. What happens at the end of the book is Montag escapes the suburban city he was living in. He escaped because the city had been destroyed by bombs. After escaping the city he was able to meet up with a group of survivors, and this group of survivors dedicated their lives to reciting and memorizing books. I would say one of my favorite parts of the book is when Captain Beatty used a flamethrower against Montag. The reason why is because I love reading action and watching action movies that are like that.
After reading this book there are a few books/authors that come to mind that are similar to this. If you liked this book you will love Ayn Rand because here books are also dystopian societies. Another book that would be a great read if you liked this book would be The Giver. I have read this book and it is amazing, and you would love this book. In my opinion I wasn't a very big fan of this book just because the way Ray Bradbury worded his writing was very confusing at times. Another reason I wasn’t a fan of this book is because it was very slow. ...more "
