is a book which is described by a dog called Enzo. The book really catches your attention right away because the author changes your emotion constantly. What I mean by that is the mood changes very quickly. One chapter may be very sad then suddenly the other chapter becomes joyful. The four vital characters Enzo, Denny, Eve and Zoe.
I love dogs but not cats I just have something against cats. Reading a story that is from a dog’s perspective I knew it was going to be very interesting. Back home I have two dogs an English sheepdog and a golden retriever. So I knew I was going to like something about dogs. ( Stein Page 3) “Sure, I’m stuffed into a dog’s body, but that’s just the shell. It’s what’s inside that’s important. The soul. And my soul is very human.” This to me is showing that Enzo is going to have a lot of connection with Denny and other characters. ( Stein Page 34) “ I didn’t know you were a television dog,” Right off the bat Garth Stein shows us a what dog likes. I really like this part because of there so many connections with a dog and a human. A dog owner may just think that a dog acts the same way when they're with you. As I really like dogs I like cars also. But for this book, it’s not the racing for the cars that I like. It’s the sacrifice that Denny does for that better good that makes it perfect. Enzo is able to adapt to the situation so easily and he acts like a human. (Stein Page 87 ) “ If I could just talk and tell her.” I could make a connection with Enzo. Sometimes I just can’t spit the word out that I want to say. And sometimes I just can’t talk like this situation.
I really recommend this book to pet owners or former pet owners. But if you can’t take emotional stories this wouldn’t work well for you. Or if you would like to cry while you read this book is perfect. I certainly did cry while I read and I definitely enjoyed it. ...more "

"So overall this book was very sad. I already knew that Enzo was not going to make it but I feel like the story changes a lot. That just everything doesn't work for Denny. I feel like it's not more Enzo's story it's more the life of Denny's family. How they went from such a strong family into nothing. According to Wikipedia Wes Moore was born on October 15, 1978. Now Wes Moore runs a company in New York City for anti-poverty. His childhood was really challenging for him and his family. Both Wes Moore’s didn’t have a father to grow up with. Due to that both Wes’s had a time of struggle without there fathers. In this memoir, we are able to see both perspectives of the two Wes Moore’s life. It’s very interesting on the different paths they chose to take. Both of Wes’s had second chances throughout there lives. During class, we figured that giving both Wes’s different names would be more efficient. We decided that the author would be “The Author Wes” and “The Other Wes.”
I like this memoir a lot, not in a sarcastic way. There are a lot of life lessons that you could learn. I was able to learn how other people live in rural areas of the world. While reading this book I was able to reflect on my life. Sometimes I rejected great opportunities. If both Wes’s haad that opportunity offered to them they wouldn’t reject it. I enjoyed being able to see both Wes’s get more mature. In our history class, we're learning about Moira that your destiny is chosen. I could connect this with the other Wes Moore. In the book, he has tried very hard to get of the situation that he is in. But the author Wes Moore was able to rewrite this destiny. “ Welcome to military school.” (Moore, pg 89) A lot of people may think if you go to military school your going to get better automatically. This is not true you have to choose to do good. No matter what school or camp you go your the one that has to try. The author Wes Moore was able to choose well. “Our last mistake is always our best teacher.” (Pinoy Rap Radio) Both Wes’s made mistakes in their lives but their last mistake taught them something big.
I recommend this book to people to that like reading two different kinds of stories in one book. I would recommend to teenagers because there are a lot of quotes that will change your life. What I mean by that some action will be stuck in your mind. The book isn’t that long, I’m a very so reader but this book wasn’t that long for me. ...more "

"I feel very terrible for the guard that was on duty for the jewelry store. The guard wasn't supposed to be on duty but he was being nice to his friend. If I was the guard in the situation I would have stand down because you know 4 vs 1 you're going to lose. It felt weird reading this chapter because the mom barely watches tv and the day she watches TV her sons come up wanted for the police. It would hard to take it." — Feb 03, 2019 12:34PM

Moshin Hamid according to google attended Princeton University then Harvard Law School. Hamid according to google worked as a management consultant in New York, and later as a freelance journalist back in Lahore. The genre of this novel falls into contemporary fiction. This book is partially based on the early part of Mohsin Hamid’s life. The story begins at a cafe in Lahore Pakistan and the narrator “Changez” was with an American. During this time at Underwood Samson 9/11 struck American and brought her down to her knees. Changez moves around the world a lot in this novel. Changez went to Greece for a training session for his job with Underwood Samson and moved from Pakistan to New York a couple times.

The beginning of this novel was very challenging to understand the different perspective the author had. Changez would get into explaining about this time in the states then suddenly turn back to the present day. This first made me very annoyed that Moshin Hamid wouldn’t complete explaining this thought completely. But one good part of this was it kept me reading the book. Changez moved from rural part from the world to a much better area. During this time Changez became more spoiled. When he came to Pakistan from the states he could not believe he lived in this type of condition. Changez became the ugly American on being spoiled and having a luxurious life. In this novel, I learned about things that I need to fix too. “I am certain, sir, that a fork can be found for you, but allow me to suggest that the time has now come for us to dirty our hands.” Pg(123) This is a metaphor for a character to start working on something. It means Americans have to dive in and get the real experience. I really like I’m able to learn about Pakistan while I’m reading a novel about Change’s life.

I really recommend this book to young adult’s. Although from the perspective of a teenager was confusing, it was also thought-provoking. Young adults can enjoy this book because they could learn about different cultures and empathy. The author makes you feel like you're there with him because he speaks about both sides. As reading this book I feel guilty because my life isn’t that difficult as Changez. Overall this book was interesting for me and one of the greatest book I’ve read in class. ...more "

"This one was in the begging of the book. I think when Changez talked about the bats in the air that there something more to it.
