"At this point, I'm clueless about what's going to happen to the main protagonist... which is good - it keeps the curiosity going. The narrative is fairly down-to-earth while at the same time it addresses some of the darker sides of Japanese society." Oct 02, 2019 09:47AM

"I'm loving this book so far. I was fearing that this might be dreadful and/or too academic, but the author explains things really well. The author just elaborated on how we sapiens are only ones who've managed to live in largescaled groups thanks to the myths of "gods, nations and corporations". He also distinguishes an objective and imagined reality. Might be offensive for some, but nevertheless very interesting." Sep 28, 2019 03:19PM

James Clear
“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity.”
James Clear, Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones

Albert Einstein
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”
Albert Einstein

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
“Teach her that if you criticize X in women but do not criticize X in men, then you do not have a problem with X, you have a problem with women.”
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions

André Gide
“It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.”
Andre Gide, Autumn Leaves

Steve Jobs
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs
