"stalled out a bit past the halfway point because i've been feeling like i know exactly where this book is going since the first couple of chapters. the whole thing is feeling a bit too contrived unfortunately. i'm still enjoying the connection between the leads so i may pick this back up soon (hopefully.)" — May 12, 2026 10:38AM

"JHR hardly misses for me, and this seemed like another winner. while i still like it, i haven't been *enjoying* it because i keep finding myself incredibly frustrated by Sev and Nate and their treatment of Teddy. Eerily similar with how i felt reading If Only You by Chloe Liese. it's taking me a bit longer to read it because i can only do short bursts, but i think i'll get there. curious to see on what side it lands." — Jan 09, 2026 07:56AM

We still felt strange and lost, I think, but it was good to be strange and lost together. It was good to be lost with a friend.
