Po drodze trzeba minąć dziesiątki kilometrów rur, z których wyrastają co jakiś czas rafinerie, gazownie, elektrownie, serie gigantycznych zbiorników i urządzenia, których przeznaczenia trudno się domyślić. Przez te setki kilometrów rur płynie ropa, gaz, benzyna, sok pomarańczowy. Dla soku pomarańczowego stworzono nawet odrębny terminal i rurociąg dla tankowców, które go dostarczają.”
