This is dragging… all this stupid tumult back and forth… she can’t be bothered to come out and ask him about Wickham and instead she says vague things like “I don’t understand your character”. And once again I ask, IF SHE’S SO STUPID WHY DOES DARCY LIKE HER?
So many books in the genre follow this lazy track- and take many more pages to do so than Austen did. I am frustrated yet again. But maybe Im also just a cranky bitch who is weary of the world…
