“صارت المناهج تهتم بالتلقين والحفظ على حساب الفهم والتطبيق، وتهتم بالكمية على حساب النوعية، صارت المناهج منفرة للطالب، فهجر القراءة وصار ينتظر نهاية السنة لإلقائها جانباً، لكن أخطر عوامل ضعف التعليم وأكثرها تأثيراً هو المعلم. جاء للتعليم من يبحث عن الوظيفة فقط دون إيمان برسالة التعليم السامية والمهمة لنهضة الأمة، وبعض المعلمين لهم مفاهيمهم المختلفة عن التعليم ورسالته. لم تعد المدارس مكاناً لاكتساب مهارات التفكير، وحب القراءة وممارسة الرياضة وتأصيلها، لتصبح هذه المهارات عبادات يمارسها الشاب أو الشابة وقت فراغه، وعادات تبقى مع الطالب مدى احياة. المعلمون والمناهج هم أهم و أخطر عوامل التغيير.”
