"Tak krásná obálka. Tak pěkné cozy fantasy prostředí. Ale ty postavy? Dialogy? "Děj"? Nejdřív jsem si myslela, že je to překladem, ale po nahlédnutí do anglické verze si tím nejsem jistá. Zní to stejně blbě v obou případech, neohrabaný překlad jen přidává.
"To bylo kurevsky boží. Zklidni se, můj klitorisi." - Vážně? Fakt? Ve druhé kapitole? Protože sundal kotě z trámu? Nevím, jestli to vydržím."

Elizabeth Gilbert
“The world ain't straight. You grow up thinking things are a certain way. You think there are rules. You think there's a way that things have to be. You try to live straight. But the world doesn't care about your rules, or what you believe. The world ain't straight, Vivian. Never will be. Our rules, they don't mean a thing. The world just happens to you sometimes, is what I think. And people just gotta keep moving through it, best they can.”
Elizabeth Gilbert, City of Girls

Carissa Broadbent
“Death isn’t frightening when weighed against an insignificant existence.”
Carissa Broadbent, The Serpent and the Wings of Night

Tamsyn Muir

Tamsyn Muir, Gideon the Ninth

R.F. Kuang
“I don't love you. And I can kill anything.”
R.F. Kuang, The Poppy War

Jacqueline Harpman
“I thought it was unfair, and then I understood that, alone and terrified, anger was my only weapon against the horror”
Jacqueline Harpman, I Who Have Never Known Men
