"I just got to the Big Death in the book. It was sad. Especially with the way Han stood on the loading ramp and watched as they sped away.
It would have hit a lot harder and a lot differently if I didn't know it was coming, and if I didn't know that it was retconned and Chewie would end up outliving Han.

"I’m actually listening to the audiobook version, read by Carrie Fisher, of course! I love that the way she’s reading it doesn’t sound like she’s reading at all, it’s like she’s having a conversation with you. It makes me sad as I listen to it, knowing she’s gone now, but it’s also awesome being able to hear her relate her experiences." — May 12, 2021 02:19PM
