Imagine my complete and utter amazement for this book, after i read a series of horrible books, one after the other. This book felt godsent. It cured me and it healed me and then it punched me in the gut, just because it could. Full tilt:with maximum energy or force; at top speed. The book, came with full tilt at me. At only 300 pages, this book felt like a 800-page-novel. It brought up crucial subjects from day-to-day life, such as: love, loss, sacrifice etc.

It all starts when Kacey, the lead guitarist in the soon-to-be famous girl band, realizes more and more that the rock-star lifestyle is slowly killing her. Even though her heart tells her otherwise, she wants to stay in the band to fulfill her best friend's dream and her once dream. In Las Vegas, where the night life is more hectic and bustling than during the day-time, after an unfortunate show, where Kacey gets drunk and throws a party in the green room of where the band played, she meets Jonah. Night-time limousine driver and day-time artist who makes paperweights, is assigned to take Kacey back to her place. Due to not so happy events, Jonah finds himself taking her into his apartment. That is where the story of Jonah and Kacey begins, two people broken in the past find themselves by falling in love with each other. As their love and passion grows, and as Kacey starts to spend more and more time with Jonah, they both realize that they have been focusing on the wrong things and together they get to fully live, by laughing and spending time with loved ones.

I knew this book would remind me of Chasing Red, and it did. I finished it all in one day, i devoured everything from it. And i enjoyed every little moment. I knew i would love this from the first words. I knew this would be a 5 star read and that it would hurt me significantly. And i was not wrong, again. What i loved most about these books is how predictable they are. Almost too predictable, that you start doubting it, and you keep hoping, until the last chapter, until it hits you and then you start crying, because you realize that it was all real.

The writing just pushed me to read more, to find out more about their story and the characters are so lovable and relatable, that almost anyone would be able to start caring about them. I loved how the relationship played out and how there were no misunderstandings and how natural and real the characters seemed to be. I found myself laughing out loud and actually smiling and daydreaming about this book, and as an avid booklover there is no other feeling better than being fully emerged in a book. Where all you can do is think about this book. Everyone deserves to feel like that. And thankfully, this book brought back childhood memories.

I like to think of myself as a critical reader, so for my standards, this book was perfect. To me, this is above 5 stars. For every romance lover that enjoyed having their heart ripped out and cut and stepped on, i know you will enjoy this one.
