I'm almost finished with Blackwood Farm and I must say, it's taken every bit of my love of reading, to actually finish it. For starters, I agree with other reviewers who have used words like hodgepodge, dis-jointed, sophomoric, and /or messy. Was it interesting, yes...BUT there was so much going on that it was hard not to find it at least that.. and honestly, that's the only kind word I can say about it. Quinn was completely annoying. His near constant crying, "loving" damn near anyone he comes across regardless of how little he knew them, his fondness for kissing his female relatives feet (including the in-steps?!)- is just totally out there (or this a thing bisexual men commonly do down south??), and lastly- having sexual relations with Goblin who is basically his mirror "twin" (so far).. seriously?! That reads more like the diary of some sexual deviant, not a supposed best selling author of this genre! Lucky for Mrs. Rice (who whoever really wrote this book) that they dont allow zero stars....more
