I am beginning to feel worried at this point that this book was just trying to make a point about how women are self-destructive, ergo the problems they face are their fault. White feminism is inherently exclusionary and I am disappointed to see this be the main takeaway when there are a lot of woc who have faced rejection and have far more interesting stories worth being told. We’ve seen this before; guy wants to fuck girl, girl wants relationship with guy, guy “isn’t ready to settle down”, girl obsesses over guy anyways but pretends not to out of fear of scaring guy off, guy gets scared off after belittling girls experience before girl crashes out, girl overreacts and finally crashes out, guy takes no accountability. Been there done that it’s like a bad episode of sex and the city.
