I was simply through with projecting an image of perfection. I wanted people to like me for my brains and personality, not my smile and pale skin and red hair.
I, too, want people to think I’m smart after they look up (and read) the books I reference, and not because of the framed Mensa certificate on my wall 😂. Seriously girl, if you don’t want people to judge you based on your looks, then don’t get hung up on your own hotness.

“One time I was dying in a cage inside a palace that was flying over a magic jungle. And some idiot went in there, chased the palace down, fought his way through hundreds of rakshasas, and rescued me.”

“That’s when I realized you loved me,” I said. “I was in the cage and I heard you roar.”

He just looked at me.

Leon's dark eyes went wide. He looked at Mad Rogan, then glanced back at himself. At fifteen, Leon weighed barely a hundred pounds. His arms and legs were like chopsticks.
"There is no justice in the world!" Leon announced.”
