Unfortunately, Daniel is not worthy of a book. He's an abuser, so no-one can have a safe and healthy relationship with him. For example, he was in love with Ruth and with Laura, but his 'love' was harmful because he is a harmful person. I do think it's possible for abusive people to truly change and better themselves... but I won't take that path with his character, because I think other kinds of men are far more worthy of being heroes. I would rather represent and celebrate good men (flaws and all) who treat people properly than make a hero out of an abuser. Does that make sense? I hope so <3(less)
