This whole concept is why I love fiction. Sermons or nonfiction give you concepts, but for a lot of people, they can't SEE or CONNECT to a concept-- it remains abstract and unactionable-- until they see it worked out through the nuance and complexity of a story. They need a pattern to follow before they can understand.
