"It would be better if an author who does not believe in the Bible and mocks Christianity did not try to use the Bible and its histories to progress his story. We are not descendants of Cain but the characters discuss that we are to make it simple for the tale (two sons - twins). Time after time Steinbeck speaks in a nasty way about the characters who are believers. So far I am not seeing why this book is useful."
