Clarissa Pinkola Estés
“All creatures must learn that there exist predators. Without this knowing, a woman will be unable to negotiate safely within her own forest without being devoured. To understand the predator is to become a mature animal who is not vulnerable out of naivete, inexperience, or foolishness.”
Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves

Dianne Looking forward to reading. I resonate with the title and this particular quote. I'd like to think mature now in my nearing mid 50's my life experience resonates with the wisdom captured by author Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Certainly the "Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype" intrigues me from a cultural perspective.
