Also curious to see how Moebius' art style has evolved since the 1970s, since much of this was drawn in the 1990s. There's way more matte colours with sharper bright colours used for contrast, shading's done differently etc. Landscapes are also done somewhat more naturalistically and with more attention to depth. Around here I also see some similar themes as the "Major Grubert" themes pop up again...

This series is so interesting because not only does Moebius get a lot of opportunity to do lots of nature/landscape stuff but in a more fantastic style than in "Blueberry", it's also very personal in illustrating a lot of his own philosophies regarding psychology, the environment, gender issues and whatnot - similar to how "The Incal" was like a soul-radar for then-collaborator Alejandro Jodorowsky.
