I... think I like this story better than the first installment.
Don't get me wrong, I love political machinations as much as the next person in my books, but it requires a fair amount of thinking to keep the maneuvres straight.
This one so far is incredibly straight forward by virtue of our main character. But it makes it so easy to just take in and consume. And it is so well written.
