Status Updates From Pericles/Cymbeline/The Two ...

oh, that last update on Pericles....

hmm. Not in the First Folio but in the canon. Mixed. I really liked Act 3, not much act 5. The afterward was interesting in that, (1) is has long excerpts of two sources including John Gower's equivalent of Act V ... which it was far better than anything in the play and (2) apparently it works well on stage (partially because it offers a lot of artistic freedom)

good christ, im finally finished with the comedies.

cymbeline: damn good play. ... when i pick up this book again, i'll be only pages away from finally finishing the comedies! yay!

man: cymbeline is really good. seriously. the more i read the farther it creeps up the ranks of favorite plays . . .

pericles: check. really quite good after it picked up (allegedly ws didn't write the first two acts?). now for cymbeline . . .
