I enjoyed reading that our little pets go straight to heaven but then he starts in preaching and preaching. I heard too much of this as a child so I got BORED VERY QUICK. He doesn't go back to animals but just goes on and on preaching so avoid this book. It is amazing what he thinks to include which has nothing to do with animals.

The word "soul" is used in over twenty different ways in scripture. When it comes to animals, the Hebrew word "nephesh" is used. This word translates to the words "essence" or "life."
God is the one who gives this soul (nephesh) life.

I gave upon this book. It was too subjective for my taste.
