Status Updates From Der Ekel

The protagonist explores the hurried and curious characters he encounters on the sidewalk: a father with his son, an embarrassed painter, and so on. This, (in my opinion), is Sartre trying to reflect the almost violent flow of the bourgeoisie in some streets, and how deserted some of the poorer ones are.

Despite the protagonist's antipathy, he's capable of laughing at absurd things, like a pesticide shop next to the most expensive church in France. This makes the character more realistic, less of a pathetic figure, and a truly flesh-and-blood man.

A little confusing. A little all over the place.

برای آن که پیش افتاده ترین رویداد به ماجرایی مبدل گردد، باید و همین بس که به نقل کردن آن پرداخت. این همان چیزی است که مردم را گول می‌زند: انسان همیشه نقال داستان است. او در احاطه‌ی داستانهای خودش و داستانهای دیگران زندگی میکند، هرچه را که برایش رخ می‌دهد از خلال این داستانها میبیند و میکوشد تا زندگیش را طوری بگذراند که گفتی مشغول نقل کردن آن است.
اما باید انتخاب کرد: زندگی کردن یا نقل کردن!!
