In which Witsius explicitly connects, "Love Yahweh your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength" with the first table of the Decalogue and "love your neighbor as yourself," with the second. Both explicitly have man being the image of God as the basis.
I probably got this from him, but there are very few teachings that have arranged the contours of my mental map to a greater degree.

"Let us now enquire into the thing itself, that is nature of the covenant of God with man; which I thus define: A covenant of God with man, is an agreement between God and man, about the way of obtaining consummate happiness; including a commination of eternal destruction, with which the contemner of the happiness, offered in that way, is to be punished."

"God, to whose ministry I was so early devoted, is pleased, not so much with the accuracy of the address of his worshippers, as with the innocence and holiness of their lives, and has a greater regard for him who brings to his temple a pure and sincere heart, than with those, who present the most studied form of words."

“Glory to the Father, who raised up, accepted, and gave us such a Surety! Glory to the Son, who clothing himself in human flesh, so willingly, so patiently, and so constantly performed such an engagement for us. Glory to the Holy Ghost, the revealer, the witness, and the earnest of so great happiness for us.”
