Status Updates From Iris Par Ci, Iris Par Là

Iris goes to her first day of school in Brooklyn. She's scared of everything students, teachers, lunch ladys she doesn't know anything about her new school she doesn't even know were she's going to seat at lunch. She's terrify. " This is terrible I don't know what to do, I just wanna cry... I don't like this I wanna go back to my old school" (Frank 36)

I feel bad for Iris because she just move to a new city which is really noisy and she doesn't like it, also her room was really hot to sleep in. "It was the beginning of august, and way too hot to sleep. I couldn't get used to the trucks roaring down the avenue the fire engines and car alarms, the people on the street singing and talking, breaking bottles, playing music till all hours" (28 Frank)

I find this scene funny because Iris's mom is terrify of a rat that she found under the bed. This reminds me of myself because I'm terrify of rats I would do the same thing that she did. "AAAAAAAAH, A RAT! OH MY GOD! DIOS MIO!...Mami climbed up on a chair" (Frank 1)

its a good book for a middle schooler!
