I think I read this years ago but completely forgot the plot (excpet from some guy named ash that was literally frosty).

Megan being invisible to most people except her younger brother, the dog and her friend robie. This already points out to her being special (that and the fact she's a bit of pick me and turning 16).

Also poor Ethan. I knew the dog didn't do it.

Ooo, Ch. 2, 30m: we've got CHILD PORNOGRAPHY and REVENGE PORN into the mix.

Ch. 2, 17m: ah, the lovely trope - "jealous over-protective" dude needs to keep silly, naïve girlie safe b/c she's too dimwitted or foolish to take care of herself.

Ch. 1: fascinating what sixteen years makes. The age our MC is at the outset of the book, and the age this book is now. Meghan Chase has a rapist for a father and a homophobic bully for a best friend, yet the father fig is presented as chaotic neutral and the best friend is presented as chaotic good. Ah, the moral compass of 2010.
