Status Updates From The Terror

Just wanna write down some brief thoughts before I commit to finishing the last 10% or so.
Seems to be taking some pages from Stephen King’s book with the sudden (or just barely gradual) descent of Mr. Hickey as this cartoonish and exaggerated villain. Also reminds me of Nick Cutter’s The Troop in a lot of ways, wouldn’t be surprised if The Terror’s writing inspired some of the plot in that?

Very pleasantly surprised that there is a somewhat positive example of gay representation in this. Very bittersweet and sad and beautiful relationship even though we’re only shown through fragments

Still thoroughly enjoying each and every chapter. I do have some minor criticisms that I’ll have to mill on, otherwise I am very pleased with this experience so far
