This book is kind of a struggle for me. I'm muscling through it to see what happens, but I don't really vibe well with the writing and the voice. Without knowing what this author usually does, I'd hazard a guess that historical isn't her usual subgenre.

Hrm...this one's kind of slow going for me. I read an Elizabeth Hoyt DTB in the interim, and the difference in the quality of the writing is rather striking. The characters and story aren't bad, but hrm...

One good thing is a lot of it is narrated from the H's POV, which I always enjoy. I don't really like the h's POV. As an invalid, she just seems too weak (both physically and emotionally) to handle the H.
