Reading the section on aversion therapy and the treatment of gay men by police after being arrested is making me want throw things at the sheer amount of injustice (as well as an obvious lack of understanding) prevalent back then.

I'm finding it very hard not to explode with excitement over every new page, as it's filled with photos of the men and women profiled. I've yet to not recognize any of them. They're all rather handsome, if I may say so.

I'm only up to page twenty-seven and we've already covered Vita's daring Parisian prank, which involved dressing as a soldier and strolling around Piccadilly. No one noticed a thing. She was even addressed by a paper boy as "sir". Vita, I adore you.

Any book with Vita Sackville-West on the cover is a good book in my view.
