I give up. Just not for me. I know I'm not the worlds biggest fan of shifter romance at the best of times, and I definitely think you'll either need to be a fan of the genre, a fan of the series, or fresh from young adult angst to really enjoy this book. DNF pile.

ARGH so the shadows are isolated on an island because "normals" were afraid of them, yet she was mocked by teenage draicon when she was a teenager? Draicon are "normal" right? So why the hell were their teens on the island and playing with her? Many contradictions in this story.

Argh! She's supposed to be 26, so what's up with the teenage angst. The whole I'm a virgin because my grandmother kept me hidden but all the other shadow women have been taken as sex slaves is very very thin. Plot wise wouldve been better if she'd at least been captured and almost become a slave, anything other than the pure as driven snow but only by dumb blind luck & her hunters incompetence.

Oh dear gods... "I sense you're telling the truth. It feels right. But I also sense you don't feel comfortable with this." Cue the theme tune, roll the emotive music. I may be a little to cynical to be reading this.

This is my introduction to this series, and although the plot is interesting & I'm enjoying it for the most part I just wish Megan would get off her virginal high-horse. "Though she was still untouched, Megan sensed his desire." Ple-eeze! She hasn't been "saving herself" because of some desire to wait fir the right man, she was trapped on an island where rape seems to be the norm, who'd want sex in that situation.

Soooooooo LOVE this book so far, might have to divert from TBR list and catch up on this series!
