The author’s utter disregard of historical details concerning the society and its practices in the Regency era constantly disrupts the enjoyment of the novel: eg. a baron is not a lord, a servant cannot address his titled master as Master, the servants cannot ignore their master and keep working, a wealthy businessman does not pursue a poor governess to marry her. Highly problematic so far.
