非常唏嘘,现在的宽窄巷子简直“不夜城”,大晚上依然摩肩接踵灯火通明。有点希望自己能穿越到那个年代去看一看。

“我们经过了明清时期的古街区宽窄巷子,那里有一排排杂乱的房子,深色原木结构的建筑,深浅斑驳的痕迹,粉白的墙壁。这些老街老巷里本来就没有街灯。”

非中文母语者的视角太有趣了:“吃熟的外国蛮夷,在必要的时候,还是可以打打交道的。而吃生的蛮夷(未开化的非中原人)就是“君子远之”了。就连在当代中国,有时候都把不认识的人称为“生人”,认识的人称为“熟人”。这样的态度反映了一个事实:中国人传统上就是不爱生食的。”

第三章:大多数欧洲语言中,可供人吃的有生命的东西很多都来自拉丁语的“anima”,代表着空气、呼吸、生命。英语里的“creature”来自拉丁语中和“创造”有关的词,似乎将动物与我们人类联系在了某个十分神圣的宇宙当中。我们也都是生灵、是动物。而中文里的“动物”(“移动的物体”)。几乎没什么生命可言
