Status Updates From The Metamorphosis and Other...

i completed “conversation with the supplicant” but i honestly don’t think i grasped it well 😓

A COUNTRY DOCTOR:
I liked some of the pieces in this but I am just not into this situation where 1 section ≠ 1 story. it took me forever to get through this section because I felt a little like I was swimming after every time I sat down to read it....so many different pieces at once. I really enjoyed these last two stories and the rest seem to all have slipped from my mind

the judgement: that was crazy!! was NOT expecting that ending!

meditation: at alternate points i did not know one whit of what was going on or i really liked it. in particular i liked "bachelor's ill-luck" and the way it let me read the next several vignettes as feeling on the edge of things. definitely won't be my favorite of these stories

Just finished The Metamorphosis! Very good read, I understand the hype. Not sure why I thought it wouldn’t be sad though :/ . On to the other stories!

just finished the Judgement. I thought it was very good but I’m not sure I quite understood it.

conversation with the supplicant: i fear i well and truly did not Get this one....will have to come back to it. act weirdly because the world is weird?

last book for fiction and film....or at least, just the metamorphosis itself is for class (paired with spirited away!!!!!!!) and i'm reading the rest on my own
