In the Penal Colony:

I liked this one a lot! I interpret it as being about traditions and society at large, and how even those who happily uphold an oppressive system may eventually be crushed by it.

A Report to an Academy:

This one was an interesting read too, I have a couple different interpretations.

Both "A Country Doctor" and "A Dream" feel like anxiety dreams I've had before

The Metamorphosis:

There's a lot of ways to interpret the meaning behind this one, and I think approaching it with different meanings in mind makes it a slightly different reading experience each time.

The Judgement:

... Huh. It feels pretty straightforward but I don't particularly like it.

Most of them seem to be focused on human connections and isolation.

Of the 18 meditations liked Children on a Country Road, Resolutions, Clothes, and The Street Window the most.

Conversation with the Supplicant:

It's an interesting conversation with an interesting ("interesting") man. Feeling like you don't experience reality the same way others do, and vice versa, is something a lot of people can relate to.

That said it's also funny to me that our POV character is annoyed by someone's very performative praying when he're only at the church to see a girl.
