Status Updates From A Wedding Transpires on Mac...

Well, well, well. If only I hadn’t guessed the most obvious suspect from the beginning.

Brendan Tomkin drowned Grady (motive to fight for Ginger’s love), stole hush money from the foundation to give to Ginger (also the witness) and killed her Dad when things started to get out of control.

The details are rather amateur, and this ending was super predictable. I was hoping it would have been more complicated…

I’m starting chapter 33 of 39 + epilogue.

I swear- if the murder mystery ends up revealing Brendan as the villain of this story, I will be severely annoyed from it’s predicability. I’ve been hoping the love interest (Jonathan) or Alanna’s family may be involved to add a plot twist. But I’m getting the feeling that this will be a boring ending with a cheesy message of the importance of faith.

Things are finally picking up…

More characters have been introduced, new discoveries are being made, and another murder has taken place on Mackinac! Mr. Hoffmeister must have known something important, and the Tompkins (father and son duo) seem suspicious.

The faith details are uninteresting to me, and the fraudulent art dilemma also seems a bit prudish. Overall, I’m mostly enjoying the imagery of the island.

There is a great deal of sexual tension growing between Alanna and Jonathan…

I’m about to start chapter 9. There have been 2 memorable references to faith so far, and I can’t help but believe that Alanna’s fixation on finding justice seems… emotional. The 11-year-old case of a fatal accident amongst teenagers is a misfortune of the past. At this point, I can only imagine what she may uncover about the details, but still.
