A peculiar text. I can't tell if its a general history, or academic.
"It was a hopelessly naive project, unlikely to succeed even with the most pliant of the princes of the house of Bourbon (a species notoriously resistant to education of any kind and inordinately fond of firearms)—and in any case, Fénelon never got the chance to put it into practice." pp.62
