Status Updates From Supes Ain't Always Heroes

Okay, see? That section blatant labeled itself as cultural commentary which is fine but NOT WHAT I CAME FOR!

Okay, I have to say, this bumped down some points for me because those last two essays read more like social commentary and less like psychological analysis. Which, is fine, but not what I picked this book up for. You know?

I love the character analysis part of these books. I don’t like when they try to analyze the psychology of the fandom or fans. Like… I get it, but I’m here because I like the show, not because I like the fandom. In fact, fandom can really suck sometimes, knowing why (which I do from precious psychology books like this) doesn’t change anything for me personally.

I don’t feel like I’ll have much to say in terms of these notes other than that I find the text insightful I mean, it’s just gonna be like: “Well, yeah.”
