I’m not really enjoying the way the book is going right now, it feels rushed and unnatural. That said, I fully plan to finish it, especially since I’ve heard the second half is the strongest part.

The mmc’s constant adoration of the fmc is tiresome. I’m not convinced why he should suddenly notice her sexually (and then be completely besotted) after 8 years of constantly being with her as employer/employee. The fmc adoration of the mc is equally silly, and her “but our social classes! but my mysterious shameful past!” is the weakest of conflicts. All that, on repeat.
