I love the way Lan embarrasses Zen when she talks about her “moon’s blood” and he gets flustered lol.
It’s also so cool that all the fú are inscribed in blood so only the person who inscribed it can activate it.
Page 122: a sword’s purpose may be determined by its wielder, but take the weapon away entirely, and neither the merciful nor the cruel may draw blood with it.
The book is fast paced so far!

OK, so so far I’m loving the book. I love the writing and these are a couple of my favourite quotes from certain pages.
