I'm enjoying this a lot. Both characters are good, well rounded. And there is no unnecessary angst. Which is a good thing.
People might say Carla is too accepting, but frankly, she's just doing what she can to survive. I appreciate that from her

What a strange strange man. And woman. Although, the world has actually been very well written. I don't know the US very well, but I can pretty much guess they are in the middle of nowhere.
All in all, it's rather engaging and enjoyable

Ok, so a rather disjointed explanation of the events leading up to an Apocalypse. However, the gyst is that the plane time travelled roughly at the same time the nuclear weapons hit. I'm following so far, so it can't be all bad
