Status Updates From Tempting Fate: a dark and a...

DNF - I'm not sure if it's me or if the timing isn't right, but I can't get into this book. The sentences are sooooo longgggg and descriptive, at the end of the page I have no idea what I've read except for a couple of keywords.

This is the first book in the trilogy. The writing is still great as we watch Lily go through the process of healing after Alex's assault. I did to use a little more effort to make it through this book as I was fresh off the faster pacing of the prequel from Alex's point of view. So, it was more forcing myself to adjust to the slower pacing.

I'm not sure what to think of this yet. It's very dark so check triggers... I don't think I'm in the right mental space to continue with it right now, so I might put it on pause for awhile.

I love Venom as a person, and Lily too. She's been through so much and she's stronger than she thinks she is. I look forward to continuing the story, just not at the moment. Some other time, I hope.
