Status Updates From Imitations

Almost done. This has been interesting. The Rilke was less spectacular than I thought but still decent. The Montale stood out to me, particularly "The Eel" but I'll say more in my review.

The Homer and Sappho were pretty good. And I like the Leopardi. The Villon, not so much. It seems Lowell does successfully bring his own character and style into these translations. And they're good.

I skipped almost all of his versions of Baudelaire and almost every single line of Rimbaud, two poets who impress me as little but poseurs.
