Status Updates From Wicked Sinners (Sinners, #2)

Hmmm, I've been thinking about the names of the twins-- Jacques and Julien. Maybe I read it wrong the first few times, but I had gotten the impression that their names appeared in the book in an entry dated "600 BC." I'm not up on Romance languages, um, but was French popularly used in 600BC? I think not, Author!

The author's bio says she's from Tenn. but she writes like English is a second language. Take this sentence, for instance: "People would travel vast distances to seek our help with their ailments or for a spell to increase their luck, like should say, their crops being failing." And Parkerson has won writing awards? Now THAT I'll have to investigate.

Gah! This one grates. The grammar and punctuation errors are making it difficult to enjoy anything about this book. The female MC completely lacks depth and the male MC doesn't seem to have much to recommend him. Gonna rush through this, and get on to the reviewing.
