The dialogue of this book is a little tough for me, given that many of the characters speak in a Scottish accent and it is written that way. I've never been good at skimming, so I'm painstakingly reading each sentence, trying to not only figure out what it says, but do it with a proper Scottish accent. Is this a me problem? Absolutely. But it still makes for a tougher read than expected 😅

Slow going because I’m reading at bedtime when I’m too sleepy to pick up clues or parse the Scots; but you know I love a Wimsey.

Man, I really wish I was listening to the audiobook of this… I can hear Jonathan Keeble doing Wimsey in my head just fine, but deciphering the Scottish dialect is killing me.
