wait I fucked up who I was gonna mention in my previous note. That caught me a little off guard too but Yasmín, is, like, a prostitute. It could be performative for all I know. But XIOMARA might be bi??? Or bi-curious??? It’s not even important but I had no idea non-straight people existed in this book so it stood out to me LMAO

…Yasmín is bi?!

“I let myself think about Lorena.
About the ease in which she brushed me off. The ease in which she broke off what we’d started to build.”

this made me loudly crack up for some reason😭😭

why the fuck are u gonna let him convince u to not stay with your obviously traumatized friend who DOES NOT KNOW ANY OF THESE PEOPLE AND LIKELY NEEDS TO JNOW YOURE NOT IN HARM’S WAY

lorena’s a bit archetypal but unfortunately she is the character who questions this plot’s logic and is also basically my type so i am inclined to be attracted to her

also this book’s like a bag of candy i can’t stop reading it. om nom. i did laugh enough at different parts for my mom to notice it tho
