The entire screentime chapter was horrifying, thanks. Not sure if this book preceded the research indicating how bad endless screentime is for children's developing brains or if the author chose to ignore those studies on principle, but the idea of a 6 year old having unrestricted access to screens made my whole insides cringe.
Reminding myself that I'm reading this to gain perspective as an audhd parent, but YOOF!

Interesting premise and I'm appreciating the different and neurodiverse view on parenting, but some recommendations here (specifically allowing unlimited screen time) are proven to be bad for children's development. I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt

Like many other reviews I read, I have a big ick with her thoughts on screen time. Oh well. I don’t have to agree with everything!

I’m not even through the first chapter yet, and I’ve already had tears in my eyes a few times. When she describes her experiences I feel like I’m looking in a mirror. I hope the rest of the book helps me.
